Admissions FAQ

Talk with our admissions team

We'll answer your questions, set up a tour and help you think through tuition and funding options.

Review note: Name a specific admissions contact here, with a photo and direct email — families respond far better to a person than to a generic inbox.
What grades does PHA serve?

PHA serves children from Early Childhood (ages 2–5, including Pre-K) through 8th grade, all on one campus at 515 E. Bethany Home Road.

Do we need to be Orthodox to attend?

No. Since our founding in 1965, PHA has welcomed Jewish children from all streams of Judaism. Today, all Jewish students are welcome regardless of affiliation — and families of every background call PHA home.

How much is tuition, and is financial help available?

Tuition varies by grade. Arizona families can use the state's ESA program or STO scholarships, and PHA offers need-based tuition assistance through TADS. No child will be turned away due to a lack of funds. See Tuition & Affordability.

Can I schedule a campus visit?

Absolutely — we'd love to meet you. Book a tour online or call the office. Families relocating from out of state can request a video tour.

How do I apply?

Applications and financial aid requests are completed online through TADS. See the steps.

What is the admissions timeline?

We welcome visits throughout the year. We encourage families to apply early, since space in some grades is limited.

Review note: Add priority deadlines, re-enrollment dates and when decisions are sent for 2027–28.
Does PHA support different learning needs?

Yes. Our Resource Department offers pull-out services in both General and Judaic Studies for qualifying students, and our Gifted Program offers enrichment in reading, writing and math.

Is lunch provided?

PHA offers a hot kosher lunch program. Families sign up through the lunch program application each year.

Are there after-school programs?

Yes — sports, Mishnayot Masmidim, ballet, karate, girls' dance, hockey skills, homework club, robotics and more, for a nominal fee. See clubs & athletics.
