Middle School (6–8)
A variety of reading materials, continued grammar, and a strong focus on writing in a wide range of genres as dictated by state standards.
Saxon Math, K–8
PHA uses the Saxon Math series — aligned to state standards — across all grade levels, so concepts build logically from year to year and students reach real mastery.
Gifted & resource support
High-scoring students receive gifted pull-out enrichment in math, and the resource department supports students who need more time or a different approach.
Hands-on science
Science follows the Next Generation Science Standards. Middle schoolers study earth, life and physical science in depth — from homeostasis and cellular respiration to atomic structure and gravitational waves.
STEAM expos & robotics
Two major annual expos — the Science Fair and Invention Convention — plus PHA's participation in the CIJE Robotics tournament.
Elementary School (K–5)
Communities, people, early civilizations in America, U.S. geography and the 50 states, and American history up to the Civil War.
Middle School (6–8)
American history from the Civil War to the present, early civilizations of the world, and civics and American government.
